Pam's old stuff

So Nancy and I had another one of our moving-heavy-furniture-down-SHB days. We moved an excellent old kitchen cabinet from Pam's garage. We had Hudson in his stroller, who announced every 30 seconds, "I hate it! I want to get out of here! I'm cold!" So here is the set-up: Nancy dislodges the 2 components (pics later), we hoist top component onto the old wagon, wheel it to neighbor's driveway, whereupoon we hoist it over concrete barrier, place back on wagon, Nancy leading, me making sure component stays on wagon, me pulling Hudson in stroller. We make it to the street, where we decide to stay, because of course it is garbage day and all garbage cans are blocking the sidewalk. We would be blocking traffic, if there was any. We make quite a sight. We make it to my garage and unload top (lighter) piece. Back to garage for second piece, where we find a lovely little mouse nest. Bottom component goes on wagon, up over concrete barrier, down street again, pulling Hudson all the way. Sweet Hudson has to go along for many of our crazy adventures. Make it to the garage. Nancy's work was done. Mine is just beginning. I am thinking crackling, yes?
Funny conversation:
Me: Men could not do this.
Nan: Esp. not with a baby. They would complain they didn't have the right dolly and how could they possibly do this with a baby.

  1. There is nothing we can't do! We should give ourselves furniture-moving challenges. Like a piano! We should try to move a piano! With my McGiver-like ideas and your brute strength we could build a freakin' pyramid!

  2. Um... have you noticed that our blog is not exactly taking off like we had planned? So far it's pretty much just a Nancy/Laura conversation.

  5. well first of all who is to say for sure if the lady who bought the pot from the garadge sale really ripped the church of for 9.75 from what i heard the teenagers that were adding up everyones total ripped everyone off. Instead of them adding all the price tags together they just shoved everything in a bag and gave there customers one big total of what they thought everything added up to, so in that case god is watching them!!! I dont see how the person in charge of this website has the right to just walk up to people and take a picture of them, then post it on the enternet for the world to see, and talk bad about them. that is just not right! so there for(God is watching you!) To me you people have nothing better else to do but take pictures of people who find good items for good prices and if they wont sell them to you, you guys get mad and talk crap on them and post there pictures. So just remember GOD IS WATCHING THE THINGS THAT YOU SAY ON HERE AND THE THINGS THAT YOU DO TO PEOPLE AS WELL!!!!!!!!
